The Blue Planet – The Danish Aquarium

The facility opened on March 22nd, 2013 and is designed by the Danish architect firm 3XN, who has also designed Hotel Bella Sky in Ørestaden. The architecture is inspired by a maelstrom, and so forms a notable landmark when seen from the air. The building is surrounded by tall mirror-basins, and clad in small rhombic aluminum plates, resembling fish scales. The floating geometry of the building is made possible through a digitalized design and building process.

The auditorium can seat up to 144 persons in theatre style, and is fitted with all modern facilities.

It is possible to host dinner parties in the exhibition area among the fish tanks for up to 275 persons, and standing receptions for up to 1.000 persons.

Here we can do a combined seated and standing event, with foodstations throughout the venue and walking entertainment.
